About Us
Travis Downes Builders is a small, hands-on building company based in Thames, New Zealand, known for quality workmanship and genuine local service. Founded by Travis Downes, the business specialises in renovations, extensions, new builds, decks, and fences across the Coromandel and Hauraki regions.​
Travis began his career in 2012, starting out in roofing before moving into building full-time in 2015. After gaining experience working with others, he started his own company with a focus on attention to detail, friendly communication, and doing the job right the first time.
Clients appreciate the trustworthy, family-oriented approach and the quality finish that comes from a builder who’s personally involved every step of the way. When he’s not on-site, Travis enjoys spending time with family, fishing, and hunting around the Coromandel — keeping him connected to the community he builds for.
